WELL someone finally decided to come out and greet his ba-gillions of fans!
WELCOME LITTLE PRINCE!
……………..a baby is a baby is a baby….
I love them all…
…….often while working in Obstetrics I would quietly think to myself..”I cannot believe I get PAID for this…I have the best job in the world!”
He weighs 8-6oz.
That is exactly what my youngest Cooper weighed when he was born..and I can tell you..there is a BIG difference between a 6lb 4 oz baby which is what Phoebe weighed and a chubby 8 pounder…when we look back at the newborn photos Cooper looks 3 months old the day after he came home from the hospital!!!
I think few of us can really wrap our minds around what life will be like for the little prince…but one thing I know for sure is that in these early days…
….his little life will be pretty much like every newborn baby’s…lotsa eatting…lotsa sleeping…lotsa pooping…lotsa peeing………He will lose a little weight then gain it back and eat and eat and eat and sleep with his arms in the little fencing position…and his parents, despite all of their fame and help are probably exhausted and over the moon in love..
..like they have never been before.
The Little Prince will make those amazing little squeaking sounds, the little chirps…he will clench his tiny fists and yawn and smile in his sleep and scratch his delicate pink face…he will probably even look cross-eyed a time or two…
WILL HE BE A CAR BOY?
OR AN ANIMAL BOY?

Having a new baby is the supreme equalizer…I remember in the early days…merely the fact that we were both experiencing the same little daily miracles would be enough for me to call another new mom my friend.
It was simpler…and oh so sweet…and relatively speaking…remarkably quiet…
…WILL he like to climb and have a nickname?..like “monkey”…or “bo-bo?”
They will be told to sleep..when he sleeps…and they probably will watch him while HE sleeps…and marvel that in the whole universe…this baby chose them and they are His Mum and Dad…they will be overwhelmed and tired and in Love.
