FIRST I WANT TO SAY THANK YOU! To everyone who left such sweet messages. I cannot tell you how much they helped. The bruises are fading and the chiropractor has worked his magic. I will be back to climbing ladders in no time…but NEVER EVER again will I leave the night-light off…never. Thank you.
Many of you have asked about the sale of the house so I thought I would give you an update.
It has been busy beans around here! Our realtor warned us that the summer would be quiet..and quiet IT WAS. Silent in fact. But with all 3 kids home, travel and pet sitters, it was really okay to enjoy one more summer in our big old house.
Before we knew it…summer was behind us….and Cooper started 10th grade. Tate moved into his Apartment and has started his 2nd year at UVA. Phoebe moved into her dorm at William and Mary and is in her bliss. She is surrounded by history and intellect and college fun; making great new friends, singing in an Acapella group and after only two weeks…is feeling very much at home in her 12 x 16 shared dorm room…
But, just as our realtor told us…it would pick up in late August and has gone gangbusters ever since. We have had a showing almost every other day…and I am hoping and praying that the perfect people will find their prefect dream home here soon. Fingers (and toes and eyes crossed!)
AUTUMN is my favorite time in Virginia.
Yes, Spring is beautiful but the Fall is beyond comparison, the leaves are changing and the crisp, cool fresh mountain air greets me each morning and follows me throughout my day…We have the UVA football games and Friday Night Lights at he High School.
It may be time for us to move to a different home, but I hope to always live in this beautiful piece of Heaven.
This Fall may be full of change but I believe it is also full of promise.
Good things. New things. A fresh start. Life is good!
