COMING IN FEBRUARY – A DOG PAINTING A DAY

I LOVE DOGS

I LOVE PAINTING

Last fall I made the VERY difficult decision to stop taking commission work. I have LOVED painting custom pet portraits and plan to return to them in the future but I need to devote my painting time to my original painting to continue growing as an ARTIST.

  1. Nothing better than pup pics!!!! I won’t send a photo (mainly because we keep our little guy in a puppy cut – even though he is 6 yrs. old – and many folks do not), but how about a Coton de Tulear?

      1. We have a tricolour – brown, black and white. She’s so gorgeous and such a sweetheart. I’ll see what I can scrounge.

  2. Hi Leslie- Where should I send the pictures of the dogs for your Feb. project? I tried to email them but I am not sure you got them (I have an old email) I look forward to hearing from you. Shannon

  3. Hi! I just found your blog looking for a light grey/teeny hint of blue/violet (vs green)…can you tell I’m driving myself insane? Small room and I’ve already spent $75 on samples *sigh* I could never undertake a project like renovating my kitchen, with this rate of indecision. Anyway, love the idea of dog-a-day. My vote is for golden retrievers…BUT my daughter has a mini bull terrier who is an adorable goof. Will send a couple of photos but not sure where to send them.

Btw, also loved the “anchors aweigh” line. Very cute 🙂

    1. Hi Deborah,

The first color that popped into my head is Portland Gray. It is a color I tried a few years ago when I was trying to find a gray for our bedroom. It is one of the 6 or 7 colors tat went into what became my “Bergman Gray”….and I remember that the Portland gray had a blue/purple kind of undertone that was hard to see until you out it next to another, less purple -gray. Anyway, check it out! Let me know if it is a step in the right direction.
