COMING BACK from vacation is rough.
Tell YOU something YOU don’t know! Right? It is just tough…real life..ugh….
forgive me if it takes me a few days to shake the sand out of my shoes…get back into my groove..but ahhhhh…..I miss the pace…the easy easy pace. Even though we ran here and there and everywhere up the coast of California…it was a heavenly pace…
……and just the 5 of us together like we have not been in years! Day in and Day out.
THE FOOD – Oh my gosh…I could become a food blogger after the amazing meals we consumed…
Thank goodness there were GYMs in every place we stayed!
And every BED was more comfy than the next…
Weather-wise and I know people always say this, but the weather in California was what I imagine the weather in my personal Heaven to be like. Right around 65-75 every single day…soft breezes with NO HUMIDITY…Phoebe turned to me day 6 and said “MOM My hair (normally wavy and with a mind of it’s own) is GREAT in California!
I FELT SO HAPPY ON VACATION. and I really want to stay THAT happy, find a way to hold onto the glow…for at least a little while…
….. after taking a few days off of my blog…I began to ponder…what is next for me? On the Blog I mean? The house is pretty much OKAY…bathrooms done, kitchen good, I might tackle the boys room this fall…
……or I might just paint…and paint and paint and get back on that train…”what is next?”
…….and really what would YOU guys like to see more of? …I would LOVE some input from you…what are your thoughts? Home Issues? or otherwise…I think I am turning the future of my blog over to YOU my readers and I would Like as many of you as can take the time to TELL me…

We visited San Diego in June. Coming from Maryland, the mild temps and low humidity in CA were wonderful.
Like your daughter, my curly hair was controllable all week. Loved it there! If all my friends and family would go too, I’d relocate! Loved the bungalows on Coronado island.
Exactly…in the end, it would be ahrd for us to be so far from family…but it is SO inviting…plus the great hair!
What about your studio? You’ve made a beautiful home for your family, how about your space? And let me emphasize BEAUTIFUL!
By “Studio” do you mean where I paint? That would be my Dining room…but yes, I am going to do a “where I paint” post very very soon!

So glad to see you made it to my hometown of San Diego. Never thought about the hair but that is just one more reason it is “America’s finest city”. Would love to see more of your delightful paintings and even maybe where they end up.
Sounds like a wonderful vacation! I’m jealous as we haven’t been on a vacation in over 5 years!! Thankfully living here kinda feels like being on vacation, so that helps but I do miss long road trips!
