BOYS

Those of you with sons and brothers…even husbands and boyfriends…
know…boys are pretty easy to please…DECOR wise.
Give them a good comforter, some stuff to throw around
or at each other…things to roll and build….

…some sports or superhero posters and they are all set.
Last week, I FINALLY got around to giving the boys room a

LONG OVERDUE
Update/makeover.This photo brings back wonderful memories.
Here is the original little boy room… loved it. ..
but they are growing up…

…last year…I did a makeover, changed the color and rugs and lighting,

and Tate decided to try the sleeping porch as his room…
But, Tate and Cooper share a room now…and it was past time to make it THEIR ROOM…
and then add to the MIX a VERY important photo shoot of the house…
took place last week…
(mums the word)
So I pulled ALL of this off in 5 DAYS!
My youngest said
“Mom, really I don’t care about these things matching like you do…
but go ahead…
just don’t moved my SAFE or my signed Hockey Pucks.”
BENJAMIN MOORE: STONINGTON GRAY, POOLSIDE (not to be confused with Poolside Blue"), ORIOLE, BLUE SEAFOAM
THE BOYS ROOM COLORS: ALL BENJAMIN MOORE: STONINGTON GRAY, POOLSIDE (not to be confused with Poolside Blue”), ORIOLE, BLUE SEAFOAM

Fair enough.

Lets take a look…and please do NOT disturb the Safe or the Hockey Pucks…

PAINT COLOR
Walls: Benjamin Moore
Last year, the color changed to
POOLSIDE in Pearl finish

COOPER’S SIDE

The curtains are TAB BACK
which I made and you can see the tutorial for them on this Wednesdays  POST!

I made this “flag” poster, from a school project that Cooper did last year by using an old
dry mounted poster, painting it, gluing the flag in with wallpaper paste and
VOLIA!
they made the flag and were asked to cut out words from a magazine to describe themselves…
I Love “STAR”.
That’s my Coops!

TATE’S SIDE
The New York Poster I got as a gift when I FIRST moved to Charlottesville…from Boston…via New York.
I had never used it, it is perfect for Tate, though I would like to do a personal art project like Coopers from him as well someday.
the kids LIVE soccer,
and LOVE it too!!!

SOURCE LIST:

Coopers (Navy) bed – Used
Tates (Gray) used upholstered by me in Tan Belgian Linen

Most Importantly…
The boys are very very happy with their Room.
Tate reluctantly had moved BACK in with Cooper a year ago
after  trying the old sleeping porch out as a room of his own.
It was not ideal and so for the past year, I have worried
that he felt like a guest of Cooper’s. Now the room is THEIRS.
And they said they are okay with sharing…for now.
I JUST cleaned out and did a mini- MAKEOVER
of the sleeping porch (post to come)
now is an additional room to lay around,
giving them the opportunity to get away from each other, if not always, when needed.
What room have you changed lately?

    1. A dry mounted poster is a poster which has been adhered to a piece of foam core board or another surface. It makes the poster paper less fragile and more substantial to hang….
