WITH THE DRESSER PAINTED GALT BLUE…

THE PALE BLUE GREEN PAINTED SIDEBOARD LOOKED DINGY AND READY FOR AN UPDATE OF ITS OWN….

I DECIDED TO simplify and eliminate the GALLERY wall behind the TV. I kept the "DRESS" painting...and love the results!

I INTENDED TO CHANGE THE HANDLES…AND MAY STILL DO SO, BUT FOR NOW , THESE ARE GOOD FOR ME.

I PAINTED THE SIDEBOARD A CUSTOM MIXED COLOR …SORT A GREIGE IN ADVANCE SATIN …WITH CONTRASTING TRIM OF “COTTON BALLS” – BOTH BENJAMIN MOOREsideboardTHERE IS NO MAKEOVER EASIER AND WITH A QUICKER RETURN

THAT WHEN YOU SLAP A FRESH COAT AND COLOR OF PAINT ON OLD FURNITURE.

NOW, MY LIVING ROOM FEELS FRESHER AND AS A SIDE BENEFIT…I CLEANED OUT BOTH THE DRESSER AND THE SIDEBOARD – LEAVING ME WITH MORE USABLE STORAGE SPACE AND LESS CLUTTER!!!

  1. Love the furniture colors! In honor of your son’s imminent (yes, sorry!) departure for UVa, and because it sounds like a horse-y name, how about naming the horse painting “Cavalier”? Or, cheesier, “Hoos looking over his shoulder?” lol

  2. your house is always an inspiration. i just wish i had your energy to get so much done. congratulations on your handsome son graduating. the first name that popped in my mind for the horse is daisy. love the painting.

  3. I love your painted furniture!! I’m ALWAYS so chicken to paint the old wood…And the horse is beautiful!! The pastel colors are spot on! She’s a real Gem…Looks like a Gem to me:)

  4. Hello! I’m in the middle of painting a french chair I have had for probably a year and a half, I guess Spring/Summer has made us paint! Your pieces look lovely! And your horse painting looks like Cotton Candy!

  5. Hi, I was perusing some of your other posts and was wondering what color is your pew? It’s gorgeous!

    Thank you!
