MONDAY MAKEOVER – PAINTED FURNITURE

MY cousin sent me a facebook message today…alerting me to the fact that the Benjamin Moore Facebook Page had shared a link with my Pink Cabinet makeover.

Benjamin Moore has a whole Pinterest page dedicated to “PAINTED FURNITURE”

The Pink Cabinet

It always amazes me that after all of the many makeovers I have done…that this cabinet is still probably the most popular…or at least it has been for the two years since I painted it.

I started thinking about alll of the many many many pieces of Painted Furniture I have , in my home, most of which I have painted myself…

  1. Well, not yet, but I’m working on it! I have a buffet type dresser that I’m now stripping and it’s kickin’ my rear! Working on it only on the weekends doesn’t help either – but!, I will let you know when I’m finished 🙂

  2. I painted an antique glass front cabinet when we moved to our new house a few months ago. Its a cabinet that would sit behind a bar and it’s been in the family for 60+ years (but wasn’t used behind a bar…). It’s been in the garage storing motor oil for 20 yrs, and I finally staked a claim on it! I painted it Annie Sloan Paris Grey and painted the inside pink (inspired by your pink cabinet). I bought the same color of your cabinet from Lowes, brought it home and it was too bubble gum pink, so I mixed it with AS Scandinavian pink and I LOVE IT!!!! I also did rub and buff on the handles. Still working on filling it and mAking fabric panels to hide all my junk in the lower cabinets.

  3. I also have a few painting projects for my kids rooms coming up after I figure out a Color scheme. I have 2 dressers, 2 desks, a console table and possibly an armoire (still undecided..)

  4. We’re two of a kind. I love painted furniture. Painted anything really. You’re house is inspiring. Check out my blog for a lot of my before and after furniture re-dos. Enjoy your blog so much.

  5. Beautiful and fun pieces, I think the black and white might be my favorite with the yellow buffet running a close second. YOu deserve all the attention and Benjamin Moore should hire you!!

  6. I painted a small nightstand in pink and robin’s egg blue Union Jack with gold feet. It’s one of my favorite pieces in my house.
    Thanks for the inspiration!
