Last Friday…I could not resist the temptation to get in there and start painting the living room, despite the sad fact that I knew I would only be able to make a dent in the work before weekend company arrived and my portrait painting schedule beckoned. Still, the family’s initial response has been overwhelmingly positive…words like “the room looks so much bigger!” and ” It feels so relaxing”.
One unanticipated result has been the way the Sea Salt and the varying browns play together. I think with the previous color, the brown and tans had more of a tone on tone effect, but now…they are a color. The wood and the brown sofa and the belgian linen sofa all look so pretty next to the blue-green-gray of the sea salt. Regarding the pink…while I still LOVE LOVE Love the pink with the spa and the browns, I am not 100% certain that this particular pink is right…I might need a warmer one..so stay tuned…though I will ONLY change it if it makes it better. I have not put the curtains back up…and will after I finish the trim. The color changes all day long…it is so beautiful. It really is NO one color…and I can;t say that about any color I have ever used…it is gray…but next to true gray it is blue, but next to true blue..it is aqua green…so versatile…and soothing.
…..until then..here is a shot I took the morning to went in to paint the second coat…can you spy Dash?
