  1. It is hard to get in the spirit when it is 75 degrees. I am too busy enjoying running around in my flip-flops with my kids than worrying about decorating for Christmas plus I am totally following your “purge” routine and I am just not ready to clutter up the house with Christmas stuff!

BTW- I just found your blog and I am ADDICTED! I am slowly working my way back through time and enjoying all of your posts. I am jealous of your “old country home” and the fact that you are in lovely Charlottesville. We were there for 3 years and my oldest was born there- miss it and would move back in a heart beat if I could only win that darn POWERBALL jackpot!
I look forward to following along in 2013.

  2. I am slowly getting into the spirit. We had to get our tree earlier than usual since my daughter was home from college for Thanksgiving and wanted to help pick out the tree. After she went back to school it took us over a week to finish decorating the tree! Just couldn’t get into it. I was driving in Greenwood yesterday (went to the antique store) and looking at the beautiful day, and that adorable post office, I envied you your peaceful town. Back in Short Pump now, but so enjoyed the respite!
