SAVINGS TIP
At MY Benjamin Moore Store….

SO
Beds …CHECK
Paint …CHECK
Mattresses???
the day after I got the beds, I opened up
CRAIGSLIST…
and…well, I will cut to the chase…
within one hour, I had emailed,
and driven to a house less than a mile from my home,
turned out to be a person I Knew!
she had just gotten the mattresses and was moving
I inspected them and purchased
2 TWIN mattresses
for $30
total cost
thusfar
$55
The bed was a breeze to refinish.
I washed it down, pulled out nasty old nails, sanded boo-boos and glued a couple rickety spots
and then painted the body with my new “Perspective”.
The back had screws in it, that when removed,
released the upholstered headboard.
I then removed the old Taffeta fabric
….but opted to keep the original stuffing
as it was intact and I did not want to replace it immediately.
Basically too impatient!
I covered THAT with two layers of quilt batting
and THEN a LEFTOVER PIECE OF
A Premier Home Decor Fabric in a Slub Linen
…..which coordinates with other fabrics I have used in Phoebe’s room.
