Somebody is growing up so handsome! Since his arrival on Christmas day Gus has lived primarily in Phoebe’s room (she blames HIM for the mess!) . But recently he has been venturing out, gaining confidence and he had figured out what we all knew all along which is that the dogs are big sissies and absolutely NO threat. In fact, I believe Charlie would give his left big toe to be able to give GUS a slobbery bath and carry him around like his TEDDY.
This morning is spied Gus sitting in the Living Room window, giving me the kitty stare down. I thought, “You must be going someplace quite special to be looking that handsome!” and I grabbed my within arms reach camera without taking a step. He still “startles” at the slightest quick movement and so I had to go as if in slow motion.
Phoebe has asked for a Pet Portrait of GUS for her 16th birthday in April and I think I have my Pose.
Here is a sweet Orange cat I painted at Christmas…
……………This kitty belongs to a friend’s daughter who was 5 when they got him and wanted to name him “COOTIE”…… they compromised with “CUTIE” ….which in fact suits him well. I am beginning to have a true LOVE for Orange Kitties…they seem to me to be quite special…or it could just be that I happen to be in love with one…Named GUS.
Sweet painting…would you ever offer online painting workshops? I love you blog — so much inspiration!
THANK YOU MAUREEN!!! I am so self taught, I just don’t even know if I could teach but maybe what I could do is find a way to communicate HOW I went about figuring it out…so everyone could move at their own pace…but thank you for having such confidence in me!!! xoxo
Oh I love sweet Gus! Orange kitties are special! Ours is a mess but she is so sweet – most of the time. Lol. Can’t wait to see your painting of him. Cutie’s portrait is lovely.
Gus is adorable! We have a female orange kitty named Charlie and she’s pretty special too.
Gus is, hands down, one of the most adorable cats I have ever seen and I can see how Phoebe was so taken with him, at first sight! Our male had that same specialness and I miss him every day; our female not so much, but she tries!
you are so talented Lesli!!! oxoxox
