Once upon a time there was a very old house.
With NO light fixture in a very big room.
Everyday, the woman who lived in the very old house…
…would sigh…and say
“One day, I hope to have a Big Chandelier, and then, there will be light!!
Instead of a Chandelier, the old woman
got a nice big Schoolhouse fixture,
on sale at LOWES for $19.99 (GREAT FIND!)
and this light served the family well for 7 years..
For many years, the room was a playroom for her 3 children..
and while the rooms Walls changed colors frequently
… the lighting stayed the same…
the children grew…
…and then the room was changed into the Dining room...which made perfect sense, as it was off the kitchen and…
the woman had to ask herself…”why was this not here all along”…
…oh well.
The NEW Dining room was fantastic!
It transformed their lives….but the lighting was just not quite right…
So, the woman saved and saved and finally ,
as luck would have it, there was a sale on ALL lighting at Ballard Designs…
and so she bought her dream Chandelier
(well, the version which she could afford)
the dream one is thousands…
and in the words of the Rolling Stones and my husband..um, the
“Womans” husband…
“You can’t always get what you want…
but if you try real hard…
You get what you need!!!”
and then there was LIGHT!!!
…and the woman…was happy…
