When I am contemplating a makeover… of ANY kind..I go sleuthing…everywhere, magazine, my decorating books, friends, blogs and websites and Pinterest…for INSPIRATION. I have SO MANY SAVED INSPIRATION photos..most I will never employ..but they are quite often just a part of the PROCESS and are never meant to be replicated.
……and then, there are photos I keep close by to remind myself that –
ONE DAY I WILL DO THIS!!!
One of my FAVORITE INSPIRATION photos of this nature was found on Pinterest when I was doing my Master Bathroom Makeover….the whole FEEL of this bathroom was the direction I was going….
HERE below IS A PHOTO OF MY completed MASTER BATHROOM MAKEOVER… but there was always one thing I intended upon changing. It was such an easy fix, just a ten minute project…SO EASY IN FACT…that I kept forgetting to do it!!! Can you guess what I forgot to do?
SUCH A SIMPLE FINISHING TOUCH…THAT MADE ALL THE DIFFERENCE IN THE WORLD!!!

ON MY WAY TO SUNNY FLORIDA TODAY TO INSTALL MY SHOW…MORE TO COME!
I see that brass is making a come-back! Having been a newlywed in the early 1980’s when brass was boss, we had plenty of it in our first home…and our second home. By the time we bought our {current home} old farmhouse, brass was out…which was fine, because our farmhouse demanded a different look anyway. Although the original glass doorknobs throughout are backed by brass plates, the brass has aged to a lovely, dark patina. The only shiny brass object that remains from our earlier days is a beautiful, decidedly Colonial-style brass pineapple lamp with a black metal shade. It actually fits quite comfortable in our living room {which we truly do “live” in}. The living room – and basically our entire home – has a sort-of European country-cottage feel.
I do like your gold mirror, though! Gold is not brass and we also have a number of antique gold picture & mirror frames throughout our home. Brass comes and goes, but gold is absolutely timeless.

Perfect!! Love your bathroom, and I absolutely love gold accents. Glad you finally went for the gold… small change, but BIG impact 🙂 Enjoy!
I used to hate gold and brass but now have it in my dining room (in the mirror and chandelier) and really like it. It warms up the light aqua and white on the walls, just like your bathroom. 🙂
Your mirror looks great! I have that very same bathroom in my inspiration folder!
