MY cousin sent me a facebook message today…alerting me to the fact that the Benjamin Moore Facebook Page had shared a link with my Pink Cabinet makeover.
Benjamin Moore has a whole Pinterest page dedicated to “PAINTED FURNITURE”
It always amazes me that after all of the many makeovers I have done…that this cabinet is still probably the most popular…or at least it has been for the two years since I painted it.
I started thinking about alll of the many many many pieces of Painted Furniture I have , in my home, most of which I have painted myself…
THE DUCK EGG BLUE PEW
MY DAUGHTER’S TWIN BED , HER RUGBY STRIPED DRESSER AND HER YELLOW SHELF
THE AQUA BLUE SIDEBOARD
THE UNION JACK DRESSER
THE DINING ROOM SIDEBOARDTHE CALYPSO BLUE DRESSER AND THE BLACK AND WHITE SERPENTINE DRESSER
THE FRENCH PROVENCIAL DRESSER
THE AQUA (SHORE HOUSE GREEN) DINING ROOM SIDEBOARD
THE COFFEE TABLE
BENJAMIN MOORE SHOULD CHECK OUT MY NEW PINTEREST PAGE!!!
ENTITLED “PAINTED FURNITURE BY ME!”

Well, not yet, but I’m working on it! I have a buffet type dresser that I’m now stripping and it’s kickin’ my rear! Working on it only on the weekends doesn’t help either – but!, I will let you know when I’m finished 🙂
I painted an antique glass front cabinet when we moved to our new house a few months ago. Its a cabinet that would sit behind a bar and it’s been in the family for 60+ years (but wasn’t used behind a bar…). It’s been in the garage storing motor oil for 20 yrs, and I finally staked a claim on it! I painted it Annie Sloan Paris Grey and painted the inside pink (inspired by your pink cabinet). I bought the same color of your cabinet from Lowes, brought it home and it was too bubble gum pink, so I mixed it with AS Scandinavian pink and I LOVE IT!!!! I also did rub and buff on the handles. Still working on filling it and mAking fabric panels to hide all my junk in the lower cabinets.
I also have a few painting projects for my kids rooms coming up after I figure out a Color scheme. I have 2 dressers, 2 desks, a console table and possibly an armoire (still undecided..)
We’re two of a kind. I love painted furniture. Painted anything really. You’re house is inspiring. Check out my blog for a lot of my before and after furniture re-dos. Enjoy your blog so much.
Beautiful and fun pieces, I think the black and white might be my favorite with the yellow buffet running a close second. YOu deserve all the attention and Benjamin Moore should hire you!!
I painted a small nightstand in pink and robin’s egg blue Union Jack with gold feet. It’s one of my favorite pieces in my house.
Thanks for the inspiration!
I LOVE painted furniture and have several pieces that are in need (darned time problem!). My favorite painted piece is this armoire http://www.flickr.com/photos/artsycrafty/4519193995/ . I did it 3 years ago and still love it!!
