The other day, I was making some updates to the blog and realized much to my embarrassment – that the photos of the house were super outdated!!! So I went back and UPDATED making a nice fresh new house TOUR and what being Wednesday and all…I thought it the perfect day to share it with you!!!!
Don’t forget to hop over to INSTAGRAM and get in on this weeks GIVEAWAY !!!!
Our House is named
“FAIRVIEW”
THIS house was built in 1880, after the house originally built upon the property in 1830,
burnt to the ground.
I think it is pretty amazing that in all those years, we are only the second owners!
.
At the end of the day…I LOVE my Old House..it is where it ALL happens.
Here is a tour of our house…
THE DINING ROOM/ ART STUDIO
THE SWEET LITTLE
POWDER ROOM UNDER THE STAIRS
WE HAVE TWO LIVING ROOMS …JOINED BY 8 FT POCKET DOORS…THE ROOMS USED TO OPERATE AS ONE LARGE ROOM, AND THEN AS THE KIDS GOT OLDER …we gave the kids one room and we took the other. I have contemplated moving the dining room BACK to the living room with the mirror….but just thinking
Our daughter Phoebe was 5 when we moved to this house and has had many Bedroom Makeovers….and Phoebe’s Bedroom is even featured in Susanna Salk’s new Book – ” DECORATE FEARLESSLY”!!!

Wow, Lesli, your house is absolutely beautiful! Every room seems to be put together with lots of thought and joy. Your colors are so pretty and one room seems to just flow into the next. That is so cool, too, that you are the second owners of such an old house. Well done!
Such a beautiful and warm family home. Lovely!
Thank you Colleen!!!
I wonder all the time how your house sale is going. My son has a lovely home that just isn’t moving and we aren’t sure why. Best wishes.
It is a puzzlement – but I am really okay…making all kinds of makeover plans – in case- if we stay – I am going to be BUSY!!!!
You are one of my favorite decorators. Your house looks warm, colorful and happy!
Thank you so much Elizabeth!!!!You are so sweet…. I do so love my home!
If I lived in your area, I would sure buy it, but I would want all the “stuff” that is in it too! 🙂
Thank you!!! I would probably let you have it all!!!!
I love it all! How could you not love it? The old house is fabulous to start with but the way you’ve decorated in such a fun and fresh way just makes me smile. 🙂
Thank you Stacey — you are so sweet!
How come you painted over the pink in your dining room?? I found your blog through Google as I searched for pink living room. I love your house! It’s beautiful! I’m planning to paint over the SW ember glow. I would like to paint it a muted pink. Did you like your dining room in pink, or did you get tired of it?
I LOVED the pink and never got tired of it. I Just like changing it up and I wanted to add lots of pink in the ART and upholstery – I think both would have been too much….all about balance with Pink.
