CLIMBING HALF WAY UP A WALL

MY DINING ROOM/STUDIO IS DRIVING ME CRAZY.

The room is painted a lovely peaceful color…

I have things to show you in the dining room…little things Like the amazing “MUDROOM” piece I bartered for that has changed our life…but the room is such a busy messy place that I have not yet gotten the nerve to memorialize any of the chaos in a photo….

because I LIVE in the room lately…I am tiring of the placidity and want to shake things up a bit….I have contemplated a HALF WALL…maybe in Benjamin Moore TRANQUIL BLUE…

….ironically a color that the walls WERE two colors ago…but …well…just not sure...have you ever painted a half wall….walls with Chair rail don’t count…just two colors…one wall? Here are some that caught my eye on Pinterest….

  1. I love the idea! I think that would pep it up a bit! I like the two pink spaces and the tranquil blue would be nice too. I like the spaces that did not paint the trim or doors same color. I also think to go above half way. Can’t wait to see the end results!

  2. Hi lesli,
Very interesting… Looks great in rooms with high ceilings. Just over door knob. My house has 8′ ceilings & wonder how it would look in my short rooms. Looks like possible solution for a small room to add color splash, but don’t want to loose brightness of white. Hummm, might make my short rooms look taller…. Thanks, might try it. Can’t wait to see what you do! Best!
