Phoebe celebrated her 15th Birthday this Spring. She wanted to do a SCAVENGER HUNT PARTY on our Downtown mall,…and with the help of Pinterest…I put together a GREAT one!

 The DOWNTOWN MALL is a Great original part of Downtown Charlottesville that has been made into cute shops and restaurants. All of my favorite shops…O’Suzannah, Roxie Daisy, Urban Outfitters and Bittersweet…are down there.

We divided the girls into 5 teams of 2…and gave each team an envelope with two identical sets of instructions. Each team started at a different point in the hunt, so as not to overwhelm the Downtown shop keepers!:

SCAVENGER HUNT

1.Visit URBAN OUTFITTERS and you and your partner try on identical outfits and take a photo!!!  – 15 POINTS

2.COLLECT:  5 BUSINESS CARDS -5 POINTS

3.Visit ROCK PAPER AND SCISSORS (A STATIONARY STORE) – and get a video of you playing “rock paper scissors” with  another customer. – 10 POINTS

4.You will each be given $5.00 to share and get something to drink. BUT, you must spend as close to exactly $5.00 as possible. The team that gets the closest gets 10 extra points.

5. VISIT AND Name the statues at the END of the mall by the Pavillion – 10 POINTS

BONUS FUN…..(EACH WORTH 5 POINT) total for all 25 points

Bring back – 

                         …….. a penny , a straw, a paperclip, something pink

                        ……  a picture next to a baby or a puppy

DOUBLE BONUS –

Time to Exercise…GET 4 strangers to 

SPELL OUT Y-M-C-A with their bodies and take their picture!!!  – 

25 POINTS

Total possible points – 100 points

When you are all done or at 6pm, whichever comes first, MEET at “Christians PIZZA” for food!!!

…after dinner, the girls walked around for about an hour and then we headed home for cake and ice cream….

and a slumber party…

…both boys had elected to sleep away at friends homes, so the girls had full run of the place…it was such a blast, I ADORE Phoebe’s friends, many of whom I have know since they were little and I loved listening to them laugh and talk… well into the night…it made me nostalgic for my girl friends…and ache at how fast my little girl is growing up.
