Have you ever had one of those dreams where you forget you had a test?
last years tree |
… Or that Christmas is in less than 3 weeks?
HOW DID THIS HAPPEN?
Our First Christmas in My Old Country House…9 years ago…
look at tiny Phoebe…with the dog leash wrapped around her knees…
and the now slip covered sofa and wingbacks!
We have a tree…on the front porch.
It is not that I am NOT in the spirit it just does not feel like
Christmas…more like September 26 or something…
I do not receall EVER being this out of touch…
I better pull it together!!!
Lets start tomorrow!
Lets help each other GET in the Spirit!!!
Christmas HERE WE COME!
oh well….It will happen…
and it better happen
SOON!
tell me..have you gotten in the SPIRIT yet?
So totally not in the spirit.
I hear ya! I bet we are the majority!
It is hard to get in the spirit when it is 75 degrees. I am too busy enjoying running around in my flip-flops with my kids than worrying about decorating for Christmas plus I am totally following your “purge” routine and I am just not ready to clutter up the house with Christmas stuff!
BTW- I just found your blog and I am ADDICTED! I am slowly working my way back through time and enjoying all of your posts. I am jealous of your “old country home” and the fact that you are in lovely Charlottesville. We were there for 3 years and my oldest was born there- miss it and would move back in a heart beat if I could only win that darn POWERBALL jackpot!
I look forward to following along in 2013.
Thanks Kelly! I worked in OB at Martha Jefferson for 13 years…when was your son born? Maybe I took care of you!
I am glad you found me and we will get through this Christmas thing together!
I am slowly getting into the spirit. We had to get our tree earlier than usual since my daughter was home from college for Thanksgiving and wanted to help pick out the tree. After she went back to school it took us over a week to finish decorating the tree! Just couldn’t get into it. I was driving in Greenwood yesterday (went to the antique store) and looking at the beautiful day, and that adorable post office, I envied you your peaceful town. Back in Short Pump now, but so enjoyed the respite!
