NOW ON UGALLERY!!!
One day, my daughter and I spied a neighbor’s goat outside of his pen, eating the sweet grass by the curb. We tried to open the pen (and in the process got quite a shock from the electric fence designed to keep him inside). We spent a good half an hour trying to get that durn goat back in!!!

Finally, exasperated and pooped we were about to give up….”Stay outside!!!” we said ….”your owner will be home soon enough and he can deal with you!”

……..as if he wanted to make sure we knew who was boss, he strolled over, looked at us, gave a little bleat and did a 6 foot vertical jump BACK into the pen and trotted off to continue eating!

That stinker!
This painting is painted on the sides and finished with multiple coats of high gloss varnish. The painting is wired and ready to hang! I am so excited because it was chosen as a STAFF FAVORITE on U GALLERY! see more on U GALLERY!!!
Have a great weekend!!!!
Oh, my…this sweet little goat reminds me so much of a goat we used to have. His name was Ernest T. {named for the hyperactive, nutty mountain-man in the old Andy Griffith Show TV series of the 1960’s, Ernest T. Bass}. We still miss him!

He is adorable! Be careful or you’ll end up with a herd of goats (portraits, that is). We are loving our portrait of Mabel! My 14 year old son studies it regularly. The other day, he complimented your use of pink in the portrait. “It just seems so right for Mabel but I never would have thought that without seeing it.” Your work is making us smile daily.
Love the story and the painting. Made me chuckle!
