I always look for a silver lining..and in the case of our house remaining unsold…On the bright side…we get to have another Christmas here! Last holiday season we did not think or know that it might be our last Christmas here …
and so now going into this HOLIDAY SEASON…we are savoring each moment…cherishing the time…knowing this will probably be our final “My Old Country House” Christmas.
Having the kids home for Thanksgiving was pure Heaven.
We got our Christmas tree earlier than usual so that the kids could help decorate.
MUFFIN IMMEDIATELY MADE HERSELF AT HOME!
THE KIDS CAME HOME AND DECORATED…ALWAYS AN ADVENTURE!
THE ROOM LOOKS SO BEAUTIFUL. IN ALL THE 12 YEARS IN THIS HOUSE WE HAVE NEVER PUT THE TREE IN THE SAME PLACE TWICE!!!
CHARLIE IS SPORTING A NEW “WAHOO” COLLAR!
I DROVE PHOEBE BACK TO SCHOOL TODAY. SIGH. THE WEEK WENT TOO FAST. MUCH TOO FAST. BUT SHE WILL BE HOME IN 3 WEEKS. TATE AS WELL. AND ONCE AGAIN OUR HOME WILL BE NOISY AND FULL OF LAUGHTER AND CRAZINESS!!!
3 CHEERS TO ONE MORE CHRISTMAS IN MY OLD COUNTRY HOUSE!!!
Cheers!!

Thank you Tracy!
I wish your kids would come and decorate for me! 🙂 The tree looks beautiful, I love the dogs and I love, love your home and all the color! I don’t always comment but I so enjoy visiting. Have you tried using St. Joseph to sell your home? Seriously, it works!

Thank you Pat! We have such a hodge podge of ornaments. We got married in November so many people got us off to a good start with Holiday ornaments for wedding gifts. The paper vines were an after Christmas score some 10 years ago at Target and I grabbed the pink and aqua balls a few years ago. Somehow our tree always comes together. OH and the tree topper was a $5 afer christmas score at Anthropologie!
ps we have 2 St Joes in our yard!
Happy Holidays!
Lesli love your blog. I’ve been reading it for awhile. All the way from CT. Love your style. Btw we both have daughters at WM. I believe they are both in the same dorm same floor small world. Btw love your house and would buy it I an instant!!!
Hi Beth! So happy to “meet” you! How crazy is that! So cool that our daughters live in the same buiding! I took Phoebe back Sunday and moved her back in…I cannot wait for Christmas break! Maybe we will meet in person one day! Thank you so much for introducing yourself and for the kind words!
Savor the season in your old country house! It’s so nice to visit your home vicarously for one more Christmas, but I also look forward to seeing where you land next – and how you’ll translate your warm, wonderful style into a new space. Our oldest daughter (of three girls) moved out in October, as soon as she turned 18, so I totally get looking forward to the noise and laughter when the kids get home for the holidays. Enjoy!
Thank you Caley. It goes so fast! Enjoy your holidays too!!!xo
