15 years ago – on the day before Easter ,
we moved into My Old Country House.
My oldest was 7 and the baby – just barely 3. We had no idea what lay ahead – we just thought “why not?”
The kids kept asking me “will the Easter bunny find us?“ …And I will never forget waking up, our first morning in this big old house, feeling like I was on a vacation in the country – to the sounds of my kids running from room to room and their tiny voices squealing with delight after discovering their baskets (that I had packed first) – and that the “Easter bunny” had not forgotten them!!!
It has all gone too fast. The “baby” just put his deposit down at the college of his choice. But every single year – this Cherry blossom tree – reminds me that Spring has arrived and another year has passed – and we are still here . This, to me , is what life and Easter is all about
