MONDAY MAKEOVER – Bowfront Dresser made into MASTER BATHROOM VANITY
April 29, 2013
The Master Bathroom is alllllmost done…I will do the full reveal once all of the finishing touches are complete…but one thing IS complete… and that is the
MASTER VANITY…
all ALONG…I had envisioned an old dresser converted to a vanity. That seemed really the only obvious choice given the age of our house and the fact that most off the box store ones did not suit my vision. Lucky for me, I found a dresser at “CIRCA” which had already been converted to a Vanity…(It actually came with a sink and faucet which were not my style but very high-end)
I painted the dresser in Benjamin Moore “Coventry Gray” AND USED
Advance paint IT IS HANDS DOWN MY fave for furniture… It lays beautifully.
I then added two
coats of Benjamin Moore Stays Clear Varnish to protect the top.
and midway through, I decided to paint the accents a BM color called “Pristine. The ahrdware is the original that we polished up…
The sink is a Kohler “Archer” drop in sink and I love how it mirrors the arch of the Vanity Bow front.
The Bridge Faucet is from Vintagetub.com
The Drawers were adapted for the pipes and are perfect for holding extra towels and linens…
I love
That Damon and I each have our “side” can you guess which side is mine???…
I got Damon’s cup and Tray
at Target last Winter in an end cap sale.
They are from the Threshold Line.
I also scored 5 complete sets of the most delicious white velvety towels with the same pattern…I
have been saving everything in a bin….now that was a FUN bin to open!!!
…I LOVE LOVE LOVE our new/old Vanity. It is everything I imagined and then so much more. It
goes beautifully in the New / Old Bathroom and looks as if this is where it was always meant to be.
Damon and I have room for our things and we have some much-needed storage…
It is a match made in Used Furniture store – Budget Bathroom Makeover heaven!!!
Erin has done a lovely post on my kitchen makeover and is having a Pet Portrait Giveaway of one of my Custom Pet Portraits!!!
Good Luck and Thank you so much for stopping by!!!!

so pretty! i love the color!
This is amazing!! When you painted it what type of brush did you use? I have tried painting a couple of different piece of furniture and have yet to figure out an appropriate brush that wont leave any steaky marks.
Absolutely gorgeous. I love the look. Can’t wait to see the whole reveal 🙂
What color is the wall color?
not revelaed yet but I will tell you…it is Benjamin Moore Palladian Blue…and it is dreamy. I had them take it 15% lighter and can give u the formula if you want.
You did a great job! Love your style! Where did you get those towels? They look awesome!
Thanks! the towels are the cableknit ones from the Target Threshold line I got them last fall on sale and have been saving them. They are soooo soft!

how did you outfit the drawers for the pipes?
The dresser had a top center drawer which was removed. Then each of the two remaining drawers were reshaped to pit around the pipes…I can send you photos if you provide me with an email…thanks!
