MONDAY MAKEOVER – NEW OVEN FINALLY

OLD HOUSES are full of surprises.
and one week ago…when removing the Avocado Albatross
and installing our new oven
we got an unwelcome surprise…
….it did not fit.
Yup, reminds me of one year ago when we had a dishwasher that did not fit…

But don’t cry oven spilt milk …or ovens that don’t fit…
And this past weekend, the electrician and the carpenter arrived and worked
the magic only they can do…
and VOILA!
The first thing we did was bake a batch of Chocolate Chip Cookies.
Not one was burned on the bottom and each tasted like perfection…
Was it worth the wait?
ABSOLUTELY!!!
MORE Exciting changes (and cookies)  to come!

  1. I feel your pain! We live in an 1905 Victorian. Any job we think is going to be minor, winds up being if not major, then difficult in some way. I know you’re enjoying it your new oven! Even I would want to cook if I had it! LOL!! (And that’s saying a lot! HA!)

  2. Your new ovens look very hi-tech! I’m sure it will cook everything to perfection! The oven is my favorite kitchen appliance. I can do so much with it and you just have to pop your food in it and wait a couple for a minutes, then your food is ready to serve. How amazing is that? Congratulations on your new kitchen!
