Recently I was giving color advice to a young friend…
…..she and her boyfriend have just purchased their first home and are nesting.
She showed me her LIVING ROOM color…a beautiful Benjamin Moore color called..

Unfamiliar territory…so far……IN MY OWN HOME I have not used many “earth tones” …I have steered clear of them as they seem to have been used too often unimaginatively and without color….but NO LONGER is that the case….NOW I confess that am quite smitten with THEM…especially when they are balanced with LOTS of white ……touches of black …… hints of gold ….. and subtle contrasts and pops of surprising colors like sky blue, pink and red….ummmmmm…I tell ya…love it!

CAMEL COLOR

I AM IN LOVE!

….WHETHER YOU GO ALL OUT AND CHOOSE IT FOR THE WALLS….topped off with crisp white trim….
OR JUST A POP OF CAMEL…
In the Bedroom…..
……look how lovely this bathroom is….I am so happily surprised….

I wonder..or should I say…I CANNOT HELP BUT wonder…is CAMEL THE NEXT BIG SORT OF ALL- AROUND COLOR???
So warm and inviting and yet goes with just about everything!!!!
INSPIRE AND CHARM – LOVE THE CAMEL BELOW AND THE WHITE ABOVE!

…AND EVERYWHERE….
Can you just picture crisp white cabinets…in a Kitchen….

Loving Benjamin Moore Berkshire Beige…..

So gorgeous in it’s simplicity…it is not a color that I would want to do all over the place…I am afraid things would get muddy and dark…but I love it…the way I love grasscloth…in just the right amounts…so rich and beautiful .
HERE IS A LOVELY CAMEL BATHROOM…WITH WHITE TILE….AND TRIM…BEAUTIFUL!

I am contemplating using it in my dining room….half way…perhaps with a wainscoting…when we get around to repairing the crumbling walls.
(added 1/2016) I AM ADDING ONE MORE! My cousin just painted the entirety of the downstairs her Alexandria Home in this color and it is gorgeous…I mean THE BOMB and I may have to do a whole blog post on this color alone!

…do you have any Camel in your home?
…SOME OF MY FAVORITES……
…and maybe this is why I love this color….

XOXOXOXOXOXO

My bedroom was painted in pale almond before I change it to white and deep green. I have never camel colors are this cool. Thank you for sharing the inspiring post.
Hi,
Although posted almost 3 years ago, not all of the pictures in the “camel” post are showing up? Just the words. Would love to see all the pics because I really like the sounds of the names of the paint!
Can you help?
Thanks, Karen
