Kelly Green is one of my favourite colours to decorate with but man, is it ever hard to find accessories that are the right shade! I wanted to reupholster a chair in Kelly Green and could not find a fabric… Happy to see it is coming out more. I like to pair it with Navy but also soft bluey grey, like BMGrey Owl…

I am a preppy at heart having grown up outside of Boston and spending a lot of time on the Cape, Nantucket and the Vineyard – doesn’t get any preppier than that! The blend of pink and green in some of these photos remind me so much of Lilly Pulitzer’s works! Her designs are extremely popular with the sorority crowds these days. No wonder this look feels so…preppy! Love.

I’ve been a sucker for navy blue and combinations with it for too long but I can’t stop myself 😀 The interior ideas with navy blue are my faves once again!

I am building a small cottage and I am using a preppy color scheme. My sofa will be kelly green and the chairs will be slip covered in a gorgeous paisley with hot pink teal and green. The tile around the fireplace are navy and the kitchen island is also navy. What do you think of hot pink walls? Will that be too much, too crazy? The pink would go up the stairs where I plan to hang a Japanese kimono with red, pink, green and blue. Lamps will be blue and white chinoiserie. The kitchen is all white with the exception of the island. I would greatly appreciate your thoughts as you are the preppy queen!
