Lately, I have been contemplating
“Navy”.
I have friends and family for whom this has been their “go-to” and their “anchor” color, and has been…forever. It does not seem to be a flighty or trendy color, though it’s relative popularity might go in and out. Navy, like so many of the things is symbolizes, it sturdy and refined, casual and elegant at the same time.
Pink
And then, there is pink…my signature color, but not is a prissy way, I just adore pink.
I use it sparingly, but I DO use it. I cannot think of a home I have lived in where there has not been at least some splash of pink.
Pink and Navy
I remember when my Grandparents were still alive, they had separate bedrooms. My Grandpa’s room was all dark shiny wood, and golds and browns and navy. And Nana’s room was pale pink with pink silk comforters that slid off the bed all night long and water color paintings of pink roses all framed by her French Provincial furniture that I wish I had taken when it was offered to me.
How is it that some people are just SO good at putting it all together!
