IT BOGGLES MY MIND that it has already been two weeks since the Magazine Photo shoot of my home. The two weeks leading up to the photo shoot were two of the most insane weeks of my LIFE EVER!!!! This is what the countdown looked like

JUNE 11. Paint Living Room #1  Benjamin Moore Pink Cloud

JUNE 12. Finish LR #1 and Paint Living Room #2 Sherwin Williams Steamed Milk

JUNE 13. Finish Living Room #2 (it ended up taking 3 coats!) touch up trim

JUNE 14. Paint Dining room with a fresh coat of Steamed Milk

JUNE 15. Finishing touches on all painted rooms. Actually meet a friend for coffee. Get a frantic email from the magazine Editor asking me what the Rooms look like now and have to photograph all the rooms, which means that I have to clean and style them – almost lost my mind.

JUNE 16.Touch up all the trim – Benjamin Moore Chantilly Lace AND Paint the Front Porch including the

JUNE 17. FATHER’S DAY!!!!

JUNE 18. Wash Both LR sofa slip covers – (Each sofa takes 2 loads). Clean all the floors. Put anything unnecessary  away like excess blankets and dog toys and shoe baskets.

JUNE 19.Visit Storage unit to get chandeliers taken down when house was on the market and discover that we have LOTS and LOTS in Storage!!!!Errands to gather things to style rooms and gather last-minute items for everyone leaving town.

JUNE 20. Damon leaves for Tibet. Phoebe leaves for Costa Rica. Electrician installs new Kitchen Fixtures and Master Bedroom Fixture. REUPHOLSTER THE BENCH AT THE FOOT OF MY BED.

JUNE 21. Paint the Kitchen Floor  – sniffling the whole time because I am sad that everyone has left. Try to cheer myself up and paint the front door pink!

JUNE 22. CLEAN AND STYLE the Dining room, and Living rooms. Hang new art.

JUNE 23. CLEAN AND STYLE Bedrooms. Paint Kids Bathroom ceiling (THIS was when I knew I had completely LOST my mind because this was the ONLY room not to be photographed!!!last minute trip to get a few items to style with.

JUNE 24. Finish styling the whole house. Remove both televisions and hang ART in their place . Put the framed photos up the stairs. Frame other photos for surfaces.

Actually a bit grateful that NO One is home to undo anything! START packing for NYC!

JUNE 25!!!! UP at 6am to get coffee and snacks. PHOTO SHOOT! 10 HOURS! 8AM – 6 PM

I DID IT!!!!!!

Guys it was crazy and I am not proud of how much it consumed me. But what I realized about half way through was that I had really been dying a bit inside NOT being able to do any of this for 2 years while the house was on the market. The house feels like it is OUR AGAIN! Our photos are back and each room reflects the REAL US so much more than it did. The “clean” part lasted al of 1 hours after the Photographers left but the US part remains.

This week I plan to post breakdowns of each room and any changes that have happened. So get ready for MORE of ME than you have seen or heard from in while!

You guys are the best. I thank you for cheering me on and for staying in touch via my Instagram posts. I would truly be lost without you!!!
