QUESTION – WHAT IS THE ONE ROOM CHALLENGE? –

ANSWER – The ONE ROOM CHALLENGE currently in its 11th season, is a bi-annual event, Started by the wonderful LINDA at CALLING IT HOME.  20 TOP Designers Take ONE ROOM and work their magic! . Close to 200 Guest Participants also play along and they ALL design, decorate, transform, renovate, small-scale, large-scale projects and each week – they post updates on their progress. Finally 6 weeks down the road..the BIG REVEALS happen!!!!

IT  IS  – in a word  – SPECTACULAR!!!!

TODAY is the DAY when ONE ROOM GUEST PARTICIPANTS (ME) AND OVER 150 OTHERS from all over the country – heck, maybe even the world…are all wiping OUR collective brows and saying

“I DID IT!”

 and IT is like a BIG GIANT PICTURE DAY!!!! It is like Christmas!!! The GIFTS just keep coming!!!!  NOW I need to brew a fresh pot of coffee and some yummy cupcakes (I cannot stop craving cupcakes) to sustain me ( I could get faint) while I look over ALL of the ROOMS!!!

This project was PURE JOY for me…creating a BEAUTIFUL AND SAFE AND COMFORTABLE space for this wonderful family of 6 to enjoy their much deserved

PRECIOUS CHERISHED FAMILY TIME!

I FIRST MET THIS WONDERFUL FAMILY WHEN I WAS COMMISSIONED TO PAINT A PORTRAIT OF THEIR BELOVED DOG “AEGIS”…who HAD PASSED AWAY.

I COMMISIONED A PAINTING OF THE KIDS ON THE BEACH!!!
